Affinity will be at our event Friday evening and 6 AM race morning offering health screenings, information, giveaways, and more!

Girls on the Run Gala

The Gala will feature area vendors featuring many wonderful products and services catering to YOU! The gala will be located at Walsh University’s Cecchini Center where packet pick up and registration will take place.

We’ll have our face-painting crews out in full force on race morning, giving you a chance for your own set of Girl Power Stripes! Whether you are seven or seventy, here’s your chance to show your girl power spirit! It’s guaranteed to make you smile!
Entry Fees
Women and Girls age 14 and up
$25 pre-registration through June 1, 2012
$30 race-day registration
Girls age 13 and under
$20 pre-registration

Register in person on Friday, June 1, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and race-day from 6:00 a.m. to 7:20 a.m at the Cecchini Center.
T-Shirts
Women and youth size t-shirts are gauranteed to all participants registered by Monday, May 28, 2012 at midnight.
Course
The course is a flat, fast, certified out-and-back course beginning and ending at the Walsh University running track. Participants will be released in two waves. The first wave will be for competitive runners. The second wave will be for GOTR girls, their Running Buddies, noncompetitive runners, and walkers.
Race Timing
All participants will be timed using the Chrono Track “B-Tag” on the bib. (No more waiting in line to pick up your chip-just pin on your bib and go!)
Awards
The top three finishers will receive an award as well as the top three in each of the following age groups: 14 and under, 15–18, 19–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59. 60–64, 65–69, 70 and over.
Race Day
Driving Directions
From I-77, take Exit 111 and go east on Portage St. (toward N. Canton). Follow Portage St. to N. Main St. Turn right on N. Main St and then left at E. Maple St. (the former Hoover Co). Continue east to Walsh University. Follow signs to race parking areas.
Packet Pick-up
Early packet pick-up will be available on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Cecchini Center at Walsh University. Packets may also be picked up race morning beginning at 6:00 a.m.
